I agree and I really think the entertainment of these time's is terrible, not much talent. Nothing like the actors of the day back then.

I always thought she was a pretty lady.When "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" was being filmed in the mid 70's, Charles Pierce rented my dads farmhouse to do the scene where Dawn and her husband get shot. She used his bedroom as her powder room, so dad always tells folks Mary Ann was in his bedroom one time.He said she was a sweet lady.
Talents been replaced with cgi
Watched Maltese Falcon the other day. All sound stage with horrible backgrounds, but you didn’t care. The Fat Man, Sam,Cairo ‘Peaches’ were all real lines,timing, body action made you the forth wall.
And the Oscar goes to……..BPM Shooter!

Ouch ! I guess many objects would do the job as a bullet. I think someone once told me a Brown Bess could be loaded with stones and fired if necessary. Talk about ingenuity.
Many good movies listed so far but you might enjoy "April Morning" with Tommy Lee Jones. Like "Patriot" the main character does not want to get involved with the revolution but gets pulled into it. As almost always TLJ is superb.
Lots of inspiring movies are mentioned that I’ve enjoyed, but the one that is my most memorable was the early episodes of a TV series from the late 70’s, James A. Michener’s “Centennial”. It was well done, and coincided with the opening of the first dedicated muzzleloader season in my state. Acquired a TC Hawken(kit) and shot my first whitetail with a muzzleloader that season.

Here is my favorite BP movie.....Tecumseh. It was part of the TNT series of native Indian leaders. Also, because of me and a friend being extras in the movie. One quick scene of my flintlock Charleville musket firing a blank round. It was filmed near Winston-Salem, N.C.

The series Frontiersmen was not too bad
