The stuff you see at Rendys in pretty bottles and cans that cost a bunch.The old mountain men aren't the only ones who have had their pockets picked at a rendy.To get back on topic whatever works for you as a lube is just fine,even if the label says"for medicinal use only"ie mineral oil.As an aside why do some keep referring to their age,is that a criteria for something?Just asking.
