My dad recently gifted me his hunting knives he got in Germany back in the 60s. They are Othello knives by Anton Wingen Jr., Solingen Germany. I would like to get them refurbished. Would anyone like to recommend a professional blade smith that does this kind of work? Thanks in advance.

I collected knives for many years. Most German knives from that period are considered to be of medium quality from a collectors stand point. I believe Othello falls in that category. Please don't misunderstand., they are good knives that work well for their intended purpose. They can be polished up by yourself by checking out YouTube. IMO the cost of restoration by a pro might be cost prohibitive based on their worth, sentimentality not withstanding.
