The spring broke on my Uberti 1860 hand pawl. I am having a hard time finding a replacement, there aren't too many vendors and the ones I find are out of stock. Do you guys have any sources? I have found a couple of vendors selling ones for Pietta 1860s, can they be modified to fit without too much issue?

I am unfamiliar with this, what exactly does this modification entail?
The flat hand spring removed and the back of the hand polished.
A small hole is drilled near the back strap screw through to the hand channel.
A plunger is pressed against the hand by a small spring. The spring is compressed by the back strap holding the hand in position. Nothing to break.
A simple and reliable modification. I believe that Ruger uses this same system.
