Just got a tube for cheap. Is it any good? Is it a natural lube or petroleum or junk?

Thanks

I've had a tube for 30 years or so. I still haven't used it up. Like nearly any kind of grease, it works.

I got a tube in a CVA caplock starter kit when I built my first rifle in 1979. When I run out of "moose stuff," I use it. Like swampman, I haven't used it up either...mebbe it "breeds" in the tube... :youcrazy: :shake:

I've seen a few tubes of it collecting dust at my BX store. At $6.95 a tube I'm not going to try it. They never put it on clearance. It has been sitting there for at least the three years I have been around here.

Do you mean the orange CVA bore-butter clone? I got a tube cheap on clearance and it seems about the same as bore butter, I like it.
