My son owns an Armi Sport 3 band Enfield. What is the proper or best size minie ball.
 
You need to measure the bore or try different sizes until you find one that fits. My Armisport Springfield needs a .580. There is a lot of variation in the bores on these.

General feeling is that the Minié bullet should be about 0.002" smaller than the bore - you should be able to 'thumb' it into the muzzle, and the weight of the ramrod alone should take it down.
