Keep an eye on our classified ads in this forum. Better guns have been sold for the same price or less. You just need to move fast when they show up. I bought an 1858 Remington for $175 a few months ago.

$325 for a new pistol is less than parts would cost. You might be getting a gun that will need a lot of work before you can make it reliable.

Veteran Arms is one of four companies that imports parts from India. Veteran Arms advertises that they will do an in house proof test of the barrel on the gun you are buying. There is also a ten day guaruntee, so I'd ask them if the guaruntee covers a test firing, then if I wanted one I'd buy it when I had some range time, and test fire it. It is an 11 gauge, and regardless of where made might be a bit much to handle.
