That's what I do. Looks kinda funny iffin I stand on a stump to load. I could have sworn I use to be taller. :hmm:

My daughter gave me this for Christmas cause I'm building a rifle that's 64" tall and I'm only 65" tall. She even drew marks where my feet are supposed to go. :hmm: GW

Ron-

Have you been to the Tippicanoe Frontier Trading Post in Tipp City? They sometimes have used custom guns there.

Jacob...

I checked with some of the muzzle-loader shooters down at our club's range and they claim the husband/owner passed away and the wife ran it for a while, then closed it up.

They said it has been closed for "a couple of years".

I was sorry to hear that since downtown Tipp City is only about 5 or 6 miles from my home. :(

Ernie was a good guy who was always willing to answer questions and help out a tenderfoot. Mara was also top notch. When cancer finally took him she tried to keep the store going, but it was pretty obvious it was a little much to handle alone. I'm sorry to read she closed it down, but I'm not surprised.

It was one of the few draws (for me, at least) in Tipp. One of the few places I made it a point to visit when I went to Ohio.

Time sure does rush by, doesn't it?

Sorry to hear about Tippecanoe closing as well. I was thinking I had been there not all that long ago, but time does tend to fly.
