I am looking for color photos of an original (unrestored) Mountain Howitzer cannon. I am building a model, and I want to get that weathered, battle worn look. I could just "wing it", but I would really like some reference as to where rust, grease, mud, ect. would end up in real use. Any ideas appreciated...

I have always thought the mountain howitzer was neat. While I do not have pictures of an original, I do have pictures from a visit to Fort Sumter around 2 years ago. They have a mountain howitzer on display, set up to watch over the bay. It appeared to be a modern remake to me as most of the original cannon barrels were located lower in the Fort. PM me your email address if your interested in the pictures I have on file.
