I built my first gun a little over a year ago. It was a kit about the same level as yours. I didn't buy any books but I got a ton of help from the people on this forum. They know their stuff! Mine went together with only a couple of small problems which the folks here helped me solve. It is hard to describe the feeling of accomplishment you get from building your own. If you hit a spot in the project you're not certain about just put up a post or ask your friend for help. Good luck with the project and I hope you have as much fun building yours as I did building mine!
