I lucked out and found an 8' 1x4 piece of maple with nice curl the whole length at a Menards store in my town. I need a small piece for a plug for a powderhorn I'm building, but what could I do with the rest? Any project ideas?

i'm a project child ::....ya can send it to me iffin it's in yer way :peace:....let yer imagination run wild......bob

You could make wooden inlays out of some, a nice real seat for your fly rod, powder measurers...

Using the same piece make several items to match. Pistol stand, pistol grips, and matching knife handles, and how about a nice gentlemans cane. Grip for a bullet starter. All to match each other. Matching ram rod?

If you know any whippersnappers, you could make some toy muzzleloaders, pirate pistols, tomahawk heads, etc. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

PS ?Bio prof in SD that hunts deer? This Miner hopes you
