Hello,
I own and have hunted with an inline muzzle loader but am a complete newbie to traditional black powder. I'm an avid squirrel hunter and plan to order a Kibler Southern Mountain Kit in .32 soon. Until then I'm just searching this forum and trying to learn as much as I can. Thank you to everyone who contributes. This forum has been absolutely great as I learn and research my new hobby.

Welcome Undertow! Where in Michigan are you? Being new to traditional muzzleloaders, there are a lot of clubs around where you can find all the help you need, some of it will actually be helpful LOL.
Seriously though, there is a lot of very knowledgeable people out there, and all will be very willing to help you out. There is also a state association, and they publish a list of events around the state, there is something every weekend all summer long.

Grand Rapids. I haven't done much research but the Grand Valley Cap'n Ballers are not too far from me.

All Trolls eventually become Yoopers if given the chance. I once broke the law by crossing the bridge from Marinette with a Ruger Flat Top .44 in the vehicle. Made a U-turn and headed back. These days I only take muzzleloaders when I am traveling out of state.

Welcome from Wisconsin.
