Welcome Undertow! Where in Michigan are you? Being new to traditional muzzleloaders, there are a lot of clubs around where you can find all the help you need, some of it will actually be helpful LOL.
Seriously though, there is a lot of very knowledgeable people out there, and all will be very willing to help you out. There is also a state association, and they publish a list of events around the state, there is something every weekend all summer long.

No Deer, now that is a unusual name for a man from MI. My name could be too many deer. Ha. I am in the UP and surrounded by deer.
Would like to know more about the State Association.
