Ihave a roa and was wondering if anyone has used celotex for a filler in a revolver pistol. I bought a bag of this stuff at friendship already cut to size of caliber and 1/2 inches thick. would this be better than corn mill or c.o.w. or would it be hard on the barrel? Thanks JSAMS

I see no reason to think it would be hard on the barrel, it's very much like the commercial fiber wads you buy. I doubt you'll need 1/2" thickness, that wouldn't seem to leave much powder space but you can easily slice them in half and get twice as many shots for the money. I assume these are dry wads, so you will need some lube, either melted and soaked into the wads or a grease type lube between the wad and ball.

I use lubed fiber wads from Circle Fly that are made for C&B revolvers. They are 3/8" I split them in half or use them whole depending on how much powder I'm shooting. Great filler and lube carrier all in one.
