After I got the initial side plate ....uhm ...." hole " in there then I inlet black the side plate put it back.in there tight , pop it back out and then remove the black from the bottom but also the sides ( you can't see it ) but the sides will have tiny bit of black on there and remove that too for the S.P. to go down there , be careful esp. where the higher wood is fragile , youll knock that piece out and either have to glue piece back in , if you can find it , leave it looking crappy or have to fill it in ....more work . Drill the third hole and put that screw in ... Going over stock now , final shaping troublesome parts and final sanding soon ... Hopefully finish coat soon

Nothing terribly spell binding to post ...steel wooled the dried finish coat and put a third and final coat on her of shellac ....drying .... also took a short piece of 1/2" hickory ramrod and took one end down , fit a brass tip to it , glued and pinned the tip on ... Tomorrow I'll taper the rod to size and fit it to stock ....

Very kind bud ... Its darn warm here ! Its crazy ! End of January and its 58 degrees ! No kiddin !! Crazy ! Just 4-5 days ago our river was frozen !
 
Took the ramrod down to size , taper and fit er to the stock ...

Threw er together just to get some pics of her together real quick ... Took er back apart and barrel and T.G. browning ....will take approx. ten days ... still gotta blue screws , blue and curl trigger , some lock work ... ramrod is soakin ....gettin there
