Just because a human can't use it does not mean it goes to waste. Life is tough in the wild and that coyote you leave out on the ground is a God send to a lot of animals. If they knew you were the one who left it there you would be on their Christmas list. Maybe even another coyote. I think it was a Crow chief who said,"The white man thinks the universe revolves around him".
 
If killing a coyote prevents loss of a calf that will sell for $1200-$1500 before years end, that's high use in my book. Think of it as swatting flies. Or trapping a mouse that's been raising a ruccus in your house. Or heaven forbid, a mole that's been damaging a precious lawn.
