36 cal Flintlock pistol

I stumbled across A FLINTLOCK PISTOL in 36 cal smoothbore with a lock stamped TYRON. I have never heard of a tyron lock....Need some info...
and I need to refresh on how to load pics...

I've never heard of a Tyron lock but it may be one of Japanese attempts to use a similar sounding name for one of their products. The name Tryon is a recognized name in the 1800s muzzleloading rifle and pistol business. This name Tyron is just close enough to the authentic Tryon name to raise my suspicions.

Do some Googling for Tryon Pistol, and there was an EDW K. TRYON CO. of Philadelphia that advertised pistols in the 1920s.

WOW,,,the Tryon company was active 1811-1911..
so I guess the iron is original...possibly restocked....

it no longer wears the rubberband....the threads on the lock bot needed cleaned off...
