Is anyone aware of surviving examples, or period art, of 16th-17th century gunsmithing tools? There are several surviving sets of specialized tools for forging and shaping armor, so I was curios if there was anything similar for gunlocks. Its my understanding that the modern anvil had not been invented yet, so I assume their would have been a more specialized anvil for this work.

Look for pictures from old books - there are a few showing gunsmiths' and gunfounders' shops.
I find Pinterest pretty helpful for a while.
