I made an inquiry to The Rifle Shoppe around December and I worry they have gone out of business since:

1. I never heard back from them and
2. The home page has an out of date notice from November 2021.

Maybe my link to them is bad/out of date. Has anyone found a working address for them. I was looking for a part that only they would have.

Please let me know if you have been successful in contacting them. I know they often take a while to fill orders but they are making the parts and understand why that causes delays.

I hope they are still in business. They are nice folks.

Thanks,
Bob

Thanks,
I didn’t try snail mail. I used to reach them by email but maybe they no longer use it. So when I reached out regarding the part it was by email.

Call ... never email nor leave a message. Never bother calling on a Friday, as they reserve that day for packing and shipping and they will not pick up the phone.

With that said, I just spoke to Jane about 2-weeks ago for some parts, but one she had to confirm something with Jesse, where Jane said she'd call me back the next day. Well true to form I never had a call back and I've been calling almost every day since and they won't pick up.

So ... there you go ...

Even Mom and Pop business needs a means of communicating if they intend to keep customers. I would not do business with a company a cannot contact and will not answer an inquiry.

They are what they are - the sole supplier of many, many parts for historic guns. Yes, hard to deal with but nobody is stepping in to “do better” on such a scale. Easy to say “I’d do better” but that would include any of us creating parts for many dozens of original guns, keeping them all in stock, working with foundries and customers, all while being what appears to be a 2-person team.

I don’t hold it against them and came to expect their focus shifting from one thing to another when dealing with them in the past. I bear all that in mind when dealing with them since they explained how they try to focus on one thing at a time. The problems arise when they take a call and then get interrupted by another before they finish dealing with the first.
Their weakness is organization and keeping lists to follow through. Their strengths are in making parts that nobody else makes. I was just worried that they had died in COVID or given up the business. Thanks for letting me know they are still around. I may drive out to OK and see them next time. I gave up and fabricated my own part meanwhile.
