Well if it is has drifts up to six foot high things still carry on ,not like those down south when everything comes to a standstill with a couple of inches .
Feltwad;)
Yes, I can confirm that. Years ago whilst serving in the RN, if more than a few flakes of snow were seen, the dockyard mateys were sent home and the busses stopped running!

I’m fed up with lock-down. I have authority to buy two ‘new’ revolvers but can’t get to go and get them ndd,, what's worse the ranges are all closed.

I have powder, charges made up and, I’m getting in top of my domestic duties - sort of.........

I went out to the fettling shed while my wife was at the gym and

The mug of tea is a most essential piece of kit.

Another 200 .457 balls for my Rugers and another 100 .577 for my lovely Enfield.

What did anyone else do (shooting related - today)

I know those in the US have some day to go yet but here the sun will be gone in an hour.

Finishing up a silk purse job on a Traditions 32 cal. sow’s ear, fired coulpa cylinders of paper cartridges in an 1849 pocket rev. to see if they made noise and smoke. Doing stuff I wouldn’t have had time for ‘before’. It’s not really all that bad...

Yesterday took my wife friend and her children out to the woods, single mothers don’t always have that time. It was cool -5, so i made a fire and we had hotdogs and roasted marshmallows took a nice wood walk, the kids loved it , I’m sure they sleep like logs that night everyone had rosy cheeks and a great smile And we kept our distance, hugs will have to wait, but what a great day.
My wife needed to get out of the house we will battling breast cancer, the news came out just before Christmas . So 2021 promises to be rock and roll

Sounds like you need all the good you can get, I’m sure I’m not the only member of this forum to include you and your wife in my prayers.

I cleaned the stickers off of the 4 new ramrods from TOW. Prepping them to be cut to length, then apply the final finish once I decide what finish I want for each of them.

Today I uncrated, assembled, and tuned my new 14” bandsaw. It’s going to make short work of my stock blanks I think...

Plowed out my driveway, which is 80' long, did the road 1/4mi long, with the plow on my atv. Upgraded the pivot parts to my Dillon 650 to the new ones with zerks.

Moved 5 inches of snow off the driveway, got another 3-4 inches forecast for tomorrow afternoon into Wednesday.

The shooting related part is I also moved the two foot drifts from around our shooting shack. Had been waiting for the ground to freeze harder so the big snowblower didn't tear up the yard.

In the course of things the blower engine was hesitant. Tried to use a small amount of starter fluid. Nozzle broke off the aerosol can when first opening. While attempting to hold all the aerosol parts together I ended up spraying too much. Engine backfired and set the air cleaner on fire. (Insert bizarre language here.) Wasn't a major deal to extinguish but somewhat melted inside of housing. Took a bit of work to correct things so the air filter elements once again fit correctly.

Probably best I had to quit drinking.....

Had moved another 6 or so inches of snow yesterday, cleaned up drifts this morning from overnight high winds.

No flames involved!!

"It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood........"

Today I bought a new Squirrel Dog pup. One of the last Hickory Ground Riverun Feists. Sitting here online and on the phone trying to find a female pup of the right pedigree to pal up with him. Also pricing chain link for a set of new kennels. Man they've gone up.

You will have to post pictures, my friend runs mountain curs they do good on racoons.

I will. I just closed the deal on him. I'll pick him up at the Alabama Longrifle Show on the 7th. I love Curs but prefer Feists as my woods aren't conducive to Curs unless they hunt close. Hills and briars make it tough to keep up.

No Covid here so went for a morning stroll after a bunny with single flint gun with old Henry Tatham brl in it no shot taken but saw a couple. New years Eve today..
