cant find any percussion caps anywhere
Where have you been hiding. There has been a shortage of caps for years now. I've been using toy caps with a bit of powder in them. Did find some CCI #11 caps but they want $40 a tin, I`ll stick to the toy ones thanks.
 
Saw #11 caps for sale at gun show today. Also saw musket caps at local farm store. They're out there; you just have to be in the right place at the right time, I guess. Keep looking. Otherwise, DIY, I guess. It's possible. Some videos on YouTube show how to.
