Not as long as I would have liked, unfortunately I was on a time table and the wind was whipping and I was freezing, so it was a hit or run more or less. But if you are ever in the area, apply for a day pass and check it out, worth it.
 
Visited there in 2013 for my nephew's grauation. The entire post has a theme of decorating with real cannons. One of the halls has cannons in the walls and the staircase has cannons for the posts at the bottom.
