While traveling through NY, decided to pop on through West Point, stopped at the WP Museum and then went on-post to check out the cannons at Trophy Point a really beautiful spot!

Not as long as I would have liked, unfortunately I was on a time table and the wind was whipping and I was freezing, so it was a hit or run more or less. But if you are ever in the area, apply for a day pass and check it out, worth it.

It's a mix of things, RevWar, Mexican American and Civil War cannons.

I kinda wish they werent out in the open weather like that, but the bronze ones will probably be ok.

Visited there in 2013 for my nephew's grauation. The entire post has a theme of decorating with real cannons. One of the halls has cannons in the walls and the staircase has cannons for the posts at the bottom.
