Shipping powder to California

Hello, I just tried to order a 10lb single jug of 3f from a supplier I learned about on this forum. They do not want to ship to California. I have had two powder orders in the last 6 months from another distributor, anyone in California have any insight as to why they won’t ship? Is there some new restrictions on black powder?

I have Black powder shipped to myself on a regular basis. I haven't had any suppliers reject my purchases for being in California. That bring said I've never tried buying it from Midway.

As I am a former Kalipornian, your supplier probably thinks everyone in Kalipornia or that is from Kalipornia is a green eyed monster (regressive leftist liberal). That's a snarky remark but you'd be surprised at the way some folks view ALL Kalipornians. My wife and I have had to deal with it on some occasions but we do our best to educate their bigoted [behinds]. Good luck.

I live in CA but have never ordered powder from Midway. My last order was from Powder Inc...no problems, but they do make you submit paperwork/ID etc...

We have had this issue come up here before. There is a five pound limit there. I do not
recall if it is just in LA or statewide. Check with your Fire marshall or County. For
awhile it seemed that California would leave muzzleloaders out of their freedom raid.
We have had long posts on this issue here--discussing Federal, State and local
laws With open borders there will be screw-ups and more regulations. This is why we need
everyone to join and support the National Muzzleloading Rifle Association. NMLRA

Just received 2# from Midway, no problem. There are certain area codes that you cannot ship ammunition to here. You just have to ask the vendor if he'll ship to you. Some vendors just don't want to deal with Calif. manure!

I have the same problem here in MA. Some of them just don't want to deal with our manure!
