Actually, my true love was operating the camera .
For those interested, I was using 50gr of Goex 2f (main charge and prime), a wad of tow, 1/2 inch glass marble and another wad of tow. Flint was homemade from a rock found on my farm. This is a light, easy target load accurate out to about 30 yards max. It saves on precious lead.
I downloaded your attachment and I viewed your film perfectly. Nice film and that's one Heck of a gun. Beautiful, thanks.
John

The marbles were hitting dead on at 25 yards loaded with 50gr of 2f and nested in tow. The gun only has a front sight. I didn’t try any farther that day as were shooting some other guns also. Next time out I’m gonna take just that gun and do more testing with the marbles.

It was very easy to load and there was no recoil. I think it would be a good load to use for new shooters. The marbles did not break when fired as some folks have said. They should work fine on rabbits which I need to find out.

Bugger me if this doesn't open up a whole new window practical short range ammunition options! Wonder what would happen in a rifle? I'm not brave enough to find out with one of mine :D 😂

Since they’re 1/2 inch they won’t fit a .50 caliber. But, .52, .54, .58, maybe?

I got a bag of 1/2 inch marbles from Tractor Supply and wanted to see how they would work for a light target load. They worked quite well actually.
They work great in my wrist rocket. I buy them at Dollar Tree 100 for a buck. Haven't checked the size on them but the look about the right size. Heard the shot but couldn't see anything. I am imagining your beautiful Fusil though.

The 1/2 inch marbles from Tractor Supply go right down my Fusil barrel. I loaded them the same way I did lead round balls in my Kentucky rifle. See my thread in percussion rifles section “Wacky Shooting “ a few months back.

For the Fusil, I loaded 50gr of 2f Goex. Then I pushed a wad of tow a little larger than the marbles down over the powder. Next, I dropped a bare marble down on the tow. Finally, another wad of tow was pushed down onto the marble to hold everything in place. The marble ends up nested between two wads of tow.

I’m gonna make up some paper cartridges with the marbles some time. Of course that’s definitely not historically correct, but should be fun.

I took some more screen shots off my phone on the video for you.
