that I'd like to use. I must have had it for over 30 years...no idea where I aquired it. I was a kid when I scratched the outline of the states and added ink. Been hanging on the wall all the time I've had it.

But now I'd like to use it. Smells of powder and two or three granuels fell out when shaken. I just don't know how to tell if it is sound. I'd hate to put some powder in and find out it isn't air (or humidity) tight and end up with a mess.

How does one inspect an old, used horn for soundness?

Thank you,
GM
