Seems Traditions is waiting on a new shipment of .50 percussion Deer Hunter kits. Trying to find one for grandson to build this summer to match those I helped his older brothers build 5 years ago. Any leads would be appreciated.

See, posting on Muzzle Loading Forum works!!! I found the Traditions Deer Hunter .50 percussion kit I was searching for at Midway USA. (They've been out, like so many other vendors, for so long.) Ordered it quick... grandson and I will get after it this summer, he can do some cold bluing and lots of linseed oil rubbing in time for BP season in late October here in Oklahoma. Built two others with his elder brothers 5 years ago, but now he's big enough and mature enough to handle one of his own. I hope and pray I'll be able to be with him on his first deer with this rifle. (And I get to equip him with everything for care and feeding of the rifle.)

Dan
