Just watched the new Kibler video. Fowler coming first part of next year. (last part of the video)
Merry Christmas to me, from me.

My grandkid is going to have to get used to retrieving grouse through a cloud of smoke!

You gonna take a grouse on the wing with a flintlock smooth bore? I've hunted them for years and. I know they are challenging enough with an unmentionable. If you complete that feat, I'd sure like to see pics and read the story.
But I'm not talking about the grouse that sit still until they absolutely forced to move, but the eastern mountain rugged grouse.

Have killed Ringneck Pheasants w/ 12 ga. SBS Navy Arms , back in the 1980s. All the grouse hunting w/ dogs was CTG shotguns , early 1980's. Wasn't matured into muzzleloading enough to use black powder shotguns for grouse.

Truth be told, I'm not too picky about them being on the wing. On the west side of the state I'm in thick brush and I don't pass up any chance to let my kid do her thing. Certainly not in compliance with wing shooting, but they still eat just fine.
