I need to bend a barrel on a single shot shot gun. The gun shoots low and the tree rats are laughing at me. There is no rear sight just a front bead sight. I bent a barrel some years ago to correct the situation on a different gun, but can't recall which way I went. Which direction should I bend ? Do I bend the bore up or down ?

If it is shooting low the Muzzle end of the barrel must come up.

Easy solution for the tree rats.. Shoot them in the head with a .40 cal & then ya don't have to pick out all the shot from the shotgun.

A .58 caliber Hawken makes a great squirrel rifle. Bark 'em and they fall right out into the plate. :winking:
Bend the barrel muzzle up to raise your pattern. That will work too but ya have to pick out all those little black seeds. Don't wanna eat those. :)

It's the seeds that make em sooooo crunchy! Why would you want to take the crunch outta them?

Well, ya do have a point there Pard. Maybe I could eliminate the Grape Nuts from my diet if I took to yer approach. :haha: I'll have ta try it out. :winking:
