The guy I made the T/C for gave me a CVA Kentucky rifle. That will be my next project, and that one is for me! In Pa, we have an extended traditional flintlock season, and I'll be ready for it next year.
 
“Big bore” mountain rifle, I think they called it. I have a 58 that my dad’s friend built. No patch box
Had one in .54 and loved it dearly but let a friend talk me out of it. Mine had no patch box. I remember well walking into a gun store in Kinston , N.C. to buy some 30/06 bullets and saw the rifle hanging on the wall behind the counter. Brand new and telling me,"take me home with you" couldn't turn down a beautiful lady like that rifle.
