All you southwest folks, it is time to gather mesquite beans again. Dried beans soaked in water and layed on the coals and or fire, Puts a flavour to your outdoor cooking like nothing else. Flavours that meat all up. A true PC eating. If any of you have a way to turn dried mesquite bean hulls and seeds both into a fine grounded meal. This was an orginal food for Native Americans and many 1st time pioneers into the southwest region. Use it on any meats to give it a sweet BBQ flavour. Can be made into a bread or paste to like a candy. High in protein, calcium, and fiber. A true PC food. Don't have any recipes, but check the web on all the foods and value from the beans. Good Cookin
