I am working on a test model of a 1:16 scale civil war 6 pounder - it will be small about 4.5 long and .225 bore. I am having the barrel turned from bronze so I am ok there

For the carriage I am trying to strengthen and modify a little one of the Model Expo guns of history ones. This first ones more of a test case to see if the wheels and carriage will hold up to firing. If so I will do another one to try to modify more parts

Anyone used these kits before? I know the barrels themselves are cast pot metal but the wheels have wood spokes and rims with aluminum hubs
