55 years. Mostly firearms from the War of Northern Aggression era, though I have owned and shot a couple of plains rifles, flintlocks and ML shotguns. Plus a Ruger Old Army.

GREAT POST !!
I started collecting & shooting original muzzleloaders in 1956 at 14 yrs old.
Fortunately a local gunsmith took me under his wing to prevent me from harming myself & started my path to building muzzleloaders & properly restoring historical firearms & operating storefronts where I dealt in replicas as well.

Best part of those 66 years has been the pleasure to build memories of the wonderful people my wife & I have met at shoots & rendezvous who were equally addicted to our historical sport.
Relic shooter, now a relic 🤣

I am curious how many years of combined experience we have in this group. To make things easier on me to keep a tally, when telling me your time reply like this...

12 years

...and only have the years in the comment with nothing else. Any other discussions are welcome, but anything other than this format will not be counted. I will occasionally post a running total.

I am also doing the same in the Re-enactment section.
62 years for me....

1958. Guess that’s 56 years ago! And my first rifle was an Allen & Thurber .45, which in the early 60’s was copied by Bill Mowrey and he sold a huge number of them.
