I am sure I am no different than a hundred other guys who end up here. I was given a cool old percussion rifle that belonged to my great grandfather. Not only am I searching for info on it but all of a sudden I am realizing how fun some of the black powder stuff is. I have had a few play cannons, one that shot bowling balls and one that was just a noise maker, but am inspired by what I have already seen here. I am a blacksmith by trade and own a shop just south of Seattle doing all sorts of metal work.

Welcome from the Great state of Maine and enjoy the forum. And have fun with your new gun.
