I did buy it... But at least it wasn't that expencive...

I will habe a look at it if i get it and post some more pics... Depending on how decorative and how much original it is, i will maybe keep it :/

Got it today..

Here are the pics: http://pho.to/4mbs1

I would say it's a total ripoff!
On the barrel are dragons.. The Lock is at lease 90% new.. Frizzle and Cock could be original.. They used wax to make it look like all the parts are fitting right -.-''

i will repair the lock and then sell it again.. let's hope i get 50% of my learning-money back ;-)

WOW!!! :shocked2: That is one crude lock and I see I was right about the plate being cast brass..... but to see the tumbler , sear , and bridle also made of brass is a real surprise...from the looks of the barrel it too is a casting...... with the amount of brass I am wondering if this came out of the India tourist trade.....

OH Boy! Well, it looks like I was right about the side plate and breech plug area. :( Definitely a Tourist decorative item.

Kabar2: That's a good guess! Could be from the Indian Tourist market. Didn't think of that.
Really tough to pin down the origin of this one. Never seen one even similar.

Oh well. I got stung too a few years back.
Please!! Next time post photos here on the Forum - before you buy. Thanks again for the additional photos. Rick. :hatsoff:

Thanks! I will definitivly do so..
But I also think i now know what too look for, learned a lot these days :)

Thanks for shareing your knowledge!

tac, We can see that this gun is a pile of Horse Puckies, we are just trying to figure out what the horse was eating.

Or we are acting like a bunch of chickens examining a pile of pig poo.
Every once in a while a nice piece of undigested corn might be found. Yummy!!

(They don't call chickens "fouls" for nothing.)
