Took my son out yesterday and he touched off a shot on a doe, which later turned out to be a button buck. :thumbsup:

He ws so excited as it was his first "primitive weapon" kill. I shot one about 1/2hr later.

Seems like only yesterday HE was the short one! :)

Excellent shooting, there just isn't anything finer than watching your son harvest his first with a flinter.
 
Congrats and Waimanns Heil to you and your son. What rifles did you two use and what powdercharge and bullet? Where did you hit your deers?
