Like a lot of folks, I have the Chinese scissors for my kit. Never did like the look of the handles. I found a simple way to change the shape.
I used some scrap pieces of wood dowel as a form to cold bend the handle. First offset the handle tips so they will clear the straight part. Offset the tips to opposite sides so they will not interfere with each other during the bending. Mount the scissors point down in a padded vise. I used right angle needle nose pliers to make the bends. When the bends are equal, I used a Dremel with a thin cutoff disk to remove the excess. Realign the tips and you are finished. With a little care, the finish won't be marred.
Took a while to figure it out on the first pair, but I did 6 more in about 30 minutes. I think they are even easier to use. So does Momma.

If you have any questions, just holler.

Thanks guys. They also work a lot better. Just used them to cut some elk hide for a pair of moccasins.
