A slight modification. Bought a longer tang screw, filed it down, left it rounded and shiny. It's a hair over 1/32" above the tang. With my eyes it leaves a shadow I can use to line up the front sight for shooting balls.
Nuttin' wrong with that. I've considered filing a small vee in the top of the tang/barrel junction just as a shiny reference point of center. Not that I could actually focus on it being that close to my aging eyes but just a peripheral reference point for windage.
