I wonder what happened. Did recapping fix the problem?

I am curious as well. I inherited some 1970s era CCI caps with the ASP NMA my wife gave me and they fired fine, it can't be cap exposure.

Was it Black Powder or one of the substitutes? This is new to me but I would think the substitutes are more stable.
