I am thinning out the herd as it were. For sale: a beautifully built early jaeger. This rifle is built around a very nice walnut stock, with a 30" straight rifled barrel with a mirror bright bore. The lock is very fast and produces a large amount of sparks. The trigger pull is about 5 pounds. What really makes this rifle stand out is that the wood and metal are carved and engraved everywhere.. This jaeger features a pewter nose cap and butt plate. The rifle in carry mode is a little muzzle heavy but shoulders amazingly. It is quite accurate with a 60 grain charge of 2fg pushing a .495 patched round ball. (the tompion shown in the muzzle in the photos is NOT included with the gun.) The rifle features a nice wide heavy leather sling and some really attractive sling swivels. Particulars, 13.5 LOP, 30'' BBL, 44.5 OAL. Please view all 30 photos. Sales price is $1850 plus shipping.
