Does anyone know if the pedersoli brown bess has a flat or patent breech? I have a pedersoli jaeger and mortimer both have apatent breech. I'm looking to purchase one and would like to know beforehand. Thanks for any info.

Hi,
The breech plug is flat but may have a notch cut into it to clear the vent hole.

The breach plug in my Ped Brown Bess Carbine is just like the one Dave has pictured.
My other 2 Pedersolis have the Patent Breach. They are the Indian Trade Musket, and the Pennsylvania long gun.
Hope this helps.
