Picked it up a couple weeks ago. What's the best ball size and load for her?
My experience with Pedersoli smoothbores is that they run small for the caliber that they are supposed to be. With my .75 Bess, I had to downsize to a .71 ball to use with paper cartridges. With my .69 Charleville, I get the best results with a .64 ball. I would say measure your bore and give Larry Calahan a call. He is the nicest guy in the world to talk to. He will make the mold you want and you will have it quickly and for a fair price, in my opinion. Then go make some smoke.
