I read a post few days ago and one comment was to carry a extra jag ,good idea but I don't like a brass threaded thing on both ends.
Here are some pics of my idea. Probably already done but here it is. It does 32 cal 36, 40 and 62.
Just drill the hole slightly big enough for the 62 and it will work for all the above.
Comments please thanks

Pressure on the rod is very little on the leverage just a little more on the upward pressure than the fingers can grip. Ya ain't gotta go Ape on it.
LOL

Yep, it's been done, along with clamps to clamp rod as well...

Years ago, I drilled a hole through my ramrod, big enough for a finishing nail to slip into, this gives something to hold on to as well and the nail stays in my patch box and doubles as a flint knapper...

On my WoodsRunner, I took a rod that I had in stock, it already had the brass tip on one end, I fitted the tapered, iron tip to fit the other end and now have both ends where I can put a 10-32 jag or ball puller on either end...Some originals had grooves carved into one end as well to help get a grip on...

I allways put 10-32 tips on both ends of my ramrods and pin them.
You can then screw a t-bar or ball on the end to pull on.

Bad thing about that for me is I have to taper then of the rods to get them to go all the way into the ramrod channel. Not every gun but at least 50/50. That makes the rods not want to go in with a brass tip. I might try tapering the brass sometime but not much there to work with.
