Hello! So I recently got this P1853 Nepalese Enfield. When I received it the hammer would not go to half-cock so I took it out, disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled. Now it goes to half cock and full cock no problem, but there is a bit of play in it still. When the hammer is resting down it can move back and forth about 1/2” before it seems to take up tension from the spring. It is also very easy to pull back. I’ve never used a percussion rifle before so perhaps that’s how they all are and I’m not used to it yet. Or perhaps I need to replace a part or 2? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The tumbler and stirrup pivot points are both extremely worn.
We really can't answer without photo's of the hammer/tumbler interface on the other side of the lock.
(please don't cover that point with the hammer screw in place)
