If you have a Tennessee rifle and you are happy with it, who was the builder ? I'm looking for a smith to fix me up. The gun I want is based on an original. I'm getting pictures done. I picked out the lock and hardware that are closest to the original. Its a plain gun. Now my budget is not over flowing. I can brown the barrel to save some $$$ Not good at woodworking. Details available on request. FWIW this rifle is on display in the Alamo.

I have a Joe Schell rifle for sale over on the sale/trade forum and I think Schell has a pretty good reputation for southern/TN rifles.

CD Walker, Mike Miller, or Brian Barker would be excellent choices as well... A contact request over at ALR should rustle up their contact info. Joe Schell’s as well.
