DANIEL BOONE TV TRADITIONAL HUNTERS.jpg

"In truth, Boone wore a beaver-felt slouch hat, he stood only about five-feet, eight-inches tall, and was raised as a Quaker. He was a modest, reasonably educated, good-natured fellow who rarely lost his temper and went out of his way to avoid conflict."

Nice article, fairly short. Doesn't say if he owned a Traditions rifle though! 🤣

Mike, I wasn’t talking about the real Mr Boone…

But the one most of us grew up watching! 😁

Thanks for the article on the real one though!👍

I still haven’t figured out how he’s split that tree with his hatchet….🤔

Yea I know… But it does seem like I remember hearing of a two piece stocked rifle being used during filming…🤔

I did some internet searching and in 2018 there was an auction house that was selling the rifle used in the TV series and signed by Fess, with documentation. Unfortunately I can't get the link to copy via my phone. It said the guns used were non-functional rebuilds from old trap door rifles! Frankly, to my eye it didn't look like the one in the picture above.

Traditions didn't exist then but maybe the company that makes Traditions no did.
Traditions came into being when CVA left the Connecticut Valley and some of the employees didn’t want to move with the company, and started Traditions Can’t seem to find the date but twernt that long ago.
