No reason to as far as I can see. Normal caps work just fine in everything I have. If it ain't broke - don't fix it.

ive used one on a Renegade and a White Mntn Carbine. Worked well enough to shoot bh209. But wasnt worth the extra hassle. I went back to #11 caps and bp or t7.

I was given one as a gift, along with a pack of 209 shotgun primers... it sits in a range box.

I bought one years ago to use up a few thousand Winchester 209 primers I had on the shelf from my Trapshooting career.
It worked fine, but I would recommend being aware of buildup in the unit. Keep it cleaned out and you’ll be fine.
