First - I have a Lyman Great Plains, and it's great but!!!!
Lyman keeps this crap up they will not longer be selling rifles.
I would demand a refund and go find something better.
I just got mine back last week. I haven't had a chance to see if my 57 SML aperature sight will now fit. The tang inlet is better and not nearly as deep but it is certainly not flush. The sight may not mount properly. If it doesnt, I will be pushing for a full refund from lyman. This is bullshit that a once reputable company has turned into this. Everything has been cheapened. It's obvious and embarrassing

all but the price you pay for it... will they refund it??? get a lawyer on them they might??? its a shame that lyman put up with it the guy i talked too said lyman wont replace it over bad inletting??? got the old finish off need to do a finale sanding on it ..

How is the geometry with the lock and the alignment with the pan and frizzen and such?How,s the bluein and the barrel work with the site alignment?

user guide is out dated.. it says rich walnut.. the guide is dated before fiber optic sights..win did they start using fiber optic sights???
