Due to my crappy eyesight, I need to put a sight with a thicker blade on the front of my Kibler SMR. An .080" thick blade is easy to find from suppliers, but Jim's website lists the dovetail as .395". Most available sights have bases that are .375". Does anybody sell an .080" blade front sight with a wider than normal sight base? If not I'll have to make one. I've looked at Track and MBS and didn't seem to find one.
Thanks,
Kevin

I’d give Track of the Wolf a call and see what thickness choices they offer. Maybe Dixie Gun Works too. They both have stuff that won’t show on their sites. A longer base isn’t a problem, just file it down to the size needed.

The dovetail in the barrel is .020” too big for most commercial sight bases.
