I would wear nitrile gloves with acetone, it absorbs through your skin and is really toxic stuff.

Nice looking stripping job, much better than most.

I don't stripe my ramrods, but if I did, I would use ColonialRifleSmi method.

I'm not a big fan of striped ram rods to start, but your way beats the heck out of the way I was shown how to do it. That was by wrapping them tightly with 5/16 or 3/8 cotton rope, then burning them. They came out OK but a pain to do.

You nailed it friend! If you came up with a system that you could use to win at roulette and win every time someone would tell you a better way to do it. LOL!

I couldn't see closed captions what is the tape what is the liquid solvent? Look great!

For the tape you can use either paper or 100% cotton medical tape. The cleaner is acetone. Semper Fi.
