Total time was about five hours. Half of that just staring at it thinking of what to do next.
There’s a small gap at the very bottom but final adjustments and inletting the toe plate should take care of that. It’s just the factory part of the stock as I left the LoP as long as possible.
I took an idea from some guitar repairmen that post up on YT and figured I could really get the final fit tight by pulling a strip of sandpaper between the plate and stock like they do on neck resets. I tried it as a proof of concept and it seems to work so when it’s all being fit up and finished I’ll keep that in my pocket.
